NJCAA announces upcoming GivingTuesday initiative
On December 1, 2020, the NJCAA is taking part in the global movement of GivingTuesday to continue to transform the lives of everyone involved within two-year college athletics. GivingTuesday is a day that encourages people to do good - something NJCAA member colleges and association strive to do every day. This year, the NJCAA will be focused on the theme, Day of Gratitude.
"This year, more than ever, we as an association have so much to be thankful for," stated Dr. Christopher Parker, NJCAA President & CEO. "The opportunity to compete and to be surrounded by others that push us to get better each and every day is what GivingTuesday is all about. I look forward to seeing meaningful initiatives from membership on our Day of Gratitude."
To get involved on GivingTuesday, the NJCAA encourages member colleges, administrators, coaches, student-athletes, and supporters to share gratitude for their NJCAA experience on social media using the hashtag #GiveNJCAA. NJCAA member colleges can access official GivingTuesday logos, gratitude signs to print and fill out, and social media graphics for displaying gratitude by visiting the NJCAA GivingTuesday Tool Kit. Unity will be exhibited across the association on Tuesday, December 1 as student-athletes, athletic staff, alumni, fans, and partners support and appreciate one another on digital platforms.
