Dubois inducted into NJCAA Swimming & Diving Hall of Fame
Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA has announced one honoree to be inducted into the NJCAA Swimming & Diving Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Former Monroe Community College student-athlete and coach Dan Dubois will be enshrined as a member of the 2023 class.

Dan Dubois began his NJCAA Swimming & Diving involvement as a member of Monroe Community College's program. While competing for the Tribunes, Dubois set a program record in the 1000 and 1650 Freestyle and 400 IM and is still known as one of the best long-distance swimmers to come through the program.
After college, Dubois spent nearly three decades coaching as the Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Head Coach at Monroe CC. Throughout his decorated career, Dubois won a combined 44 NJCAA Region 3 Championships. At the national meet, Dubois led the Tribunes to claim the Non-Scholarship Team award on 19 occasions. Dubois coached 62 NJCAA Swimming & Diving All-Americans, 20 individual national champions, and five national record holders. On top of his many coaching accomplishments, Dubois never lost a regular-season head-to-head meet against an NJCAA Region 3 opponent.
Throughout his career, Dubois received NJCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year honors in 2010 and 2018 and NJCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year recognition in 2000, 2003, 2007, and 2015. Dubois was selected as the NJCAA Region 3 Coach of the Year 17 times. Dubois was a dedicated member of the NJCAA Swimming & Diving community, serving as the president of the NJCAA Swimming & Diving COaches Association for 18 years. In 1981, Dubois was inducted into the Monroe Community College Hall of Fame. After nearly three decades of coaching, Dubois announced his retirement in the spring of 2021 and now continues to be involved at Monroe CC as an adjunct professor.
