| Men's Basketball Player of the Week Selections for Jan. 30, 2008 |
William Coleman (Glennwood High School; Columbus, Ga.) of Miami-Dade College (Fla.) is the NJCAA Men's Division I Basketball Player of the Week for contests ending Jan. 27. Coleman posted three double-doubles to lead Miami-Dade to three wins against Region 8 opponents. On Jan. 21 he scored 16 points with 20 rebounds in a 76-72 win over Brevard Community College. On Jan. 23 he tallied 16 points to go with 13 rebounds in a 61-52 victory over Palm Beach Community College. Then in a 81-80 win over Broward Community College on Jan. 26 he scored 14 points with 14 rebounds. For the three games, Coleman scored 46 points, shot 68 percent from the field, pulled down 47 rebounds and recorded 15 blocked shots. Season Statistics for Williams Coleman

Stefan Bonneau (Middletown High School; Middletown, N.Y.) of Orange County Community College is Co-Player of the Week in NJCAA Men's Division II Basketball for the week ending Jan. 27. Bonneau scored 113 points on 65 percent shooting to lead Orange County to three wins last week. He started the week on Jan. 22 by scoring 33 points, along with eight rebounds and three steals in a 90-56 win over Ulster Community College. On Jan. 24 he scored a career-high 42 points with five steals in a 95-81 win over Rockland Community College. Then in a 76-67 victory over Nassau Community College on Jan. 26 he tallied 38 points to go with five rebounds and five assists. Bonneau has now scored 30 points or more in seven straight games and has been a big factor to Orange County's current eight-game winning streak. Season Stats for Stefan Bonneau
Martin Roper (Ray-Pec High School; Raymore, Mo.) of North Central Missouri College is also Co-Player of the Week for NJCAA Men's Division II Basketball this week. Roper posted two impressive double-double performances while leading NCMC to two victories. Roper taillied 21 points and 11 rebounds along with two assists and two blocks in a 69-66 victory over Missouri Valley College on Jan. 23. He then scored 31 points with 22 rebounds and two assists, two steals and two blocks in a 81-77 win over St. Louis CC - Florissant Valley on Jan. 26. For the week, Roper shot 74 percent from the field (17-23) and 75 (18-24) percent from the free-throw line. Season Stats for Martin Roper |

Justin Strickland (East Davidson High School; Thomasville, N.C.) of Davidson County Community College (N.C.), four the fourth time this season, is the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Strickland, who leads all Division III players in scoring with a 37.3 points per game average, scored 44 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 112-99 victory over Catawaba Valley Community College on Jan. 22. He followed that performance with a 47-point night in a 105-101 win over Caldwell Community College on Jan. 26. He is shooting 60 percent from the field this season, as well as 86 percent from free throw line and 46 percent behind the three-point arc. Season Stats forJustin Strickland
Tony Bishop (Rowlett High School; Garland, Texas) of Richland College (Texas) is Co-Player of the Week in NJCAA Men's Division III Basketball this week. Bishop recorded two double-double performances last week as Richland split its two scheduled contests. Bishop posted a 26-point, 13-rebound performance on Jan. 23 in a 80-76 loss to Lamar State College. He also had two assists and two steals in that contest. On Jan. 26 he scored 33 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in a 100-79 victory over rival Eastfield College. For the week, Bishop shot 68 percent from the field. Season Stats for Tony Bishop
