Hickory Point Beach to host NJCAA Beach Volleyball Championship
Charlotte, NC - The NJCAA has announced the location for the association's inaugural beach volleyball championship event. The Florida Region of USA Volleyball will host the 2023 NJCAA Beach Volleyball Championship at Hickory Point Beach in Tavares, FL, from April 20-22.
One of the premier sand volleyball complexes in the country, Hickory Point Beach features 21 professional-grade, lighted beach volleyball courts and is located on 68 acres of beautiful Florida lakefront. The Florida Region of USA Volleyball and Hickory Point Beach have hosted other notable beach volleyball events such as the Florida Pro Best of the Beach, AVCA Small College Beach Championships, NORCECA Continental Beach Tour Stop, P1440 National Championships, AVP Pro Series Central Florida Open, and USA Beach Para Volley RDE.

This venue was built for championship events such as this and the schools that attend will enjoy three days of great competition along with the many amenities offered at the complex. The event will feature twelve of the association's top teams. Programs will compete through pool play and tournament competition en route to one team claiming the inaugural NJCAA Beach Volleyball Championship title. This season 18 NJCAA member colleges will be participating in beach volleyball and can begin competition on February 1, 2023.

The NJCAA announced the addition of beach volleyball as a sport in the spring of 2018. Beach volleyball marked the first sport added to the association since half marathon and women's lacrosse in 2003-2004.
