NJCAA and Opendorse Renew Partnership to Continue Empowering Student-Athletes with NIL Education and Opportunities
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) is proud to announce the renewal of its partnership with Opendorse, reaffirming a shared commitment to providing NJCAA student-athletes, coaches, and member institutions with industry-leading support in the evolving name, image, and likeness (NIL) landscape.
Through this renewed partnership, Opendorse will continue to serve as the exclusive NIL partner for the NJCAA, helping student-athletes better understand and maximize opportunities related to their personal brands while maintaining a strong emphasis on education, compliance, and long-term success.
NJCAA athletes have generated over $500,000 in total NIL compensation through deals facilitated on the Opendorse platform, averaging $310 per deal and $565 per athlete. This performance speaks to a highly efficient NIL marketplace within the NJCAA, which leads NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA in both average deal value and athlete earnings. The data reflects a rapidly expanding ecosystem within Opendorse, fueled by increasing participation from brands, businesses, and local contributors, driving continued growth and accessibility in NIL opportunities.
"We are excited to renew our partnership with Opendorse and continue providing our student-athletes and member colleges with valuable NIL education and resources," said Dr. Christopher Parker, NJCAA President and CEO. "As the collegiate athletics landscape continues to evolve, it is important that NJCAA student-athletes have access to tools and guidance that help them navigate NIL opportunities with confidence."
Opendorse has established itself as a national leader in NIL technology, education, and brand development, helping student-athletes across the country connect with opportunities and build their futures beyond competition. By renewing this partnership, the NJCAA continues its mission of supporting student-athletes both on and off the field, court, track, and beyond.
"On behalf of the entire team at Opendorse, we couldn't be more excited to continue building alongside the NJCAA and pushing NIL forward in a way that creates real impact for student-athletes," said Jake Daugherty, Director, Collegiate Partnerships at Opendorse. "This partnership is centered on delivering innovative, scalable opportunities while providing the education and structure necessary for long-term success. Together, we are unlocking new possibilities for NJCAA student-athletes and member institutions while setting the standard for how NIL can be leveraged at the NJCAA level. We are committed to equipping the next generation with the confidence and tools to take control of their future and fully capitalize on every opportunity in front of them."
The NJCAA remains committed to creating pathways for student-athlete success at every level. This renewed collaboration with Opendorse underscores that commitment by ensuring NJCAA members have access to innovative resources designed to support personal growth, brand development, and opportunity.
