NJCAA Welcomes Carteret Community College as a New Member

Charlotte, NC – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced today Carteret Community College as a new member college joining the association, beginning in the 2026 -2027 academic year. Carteret Community College will look to sponsor women's soccer, women's cross country, and men's baseball and will become postseason eligible in 2027- 2028.

Dr. Tracy Mancini President of Carteret Community College stated, "We are thrilled to announce that Carteret Community College has been accepted into the NJCAA, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to student success and engagement. Competitive athletics will not only enrich campus and community life but also open new doors for students to pursue postsecondary education while continuing to compete in the sports they love. This milestone reflects our commitment to providing new opportunities for students while bringing our campus and community together in a shared sense of pride.
