October 16 Marks Ninth Annual NJCAA Day
Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA will host the ninth annual NJCAA Day, on Thursday, October 16, as the association celebrates opportunity, history, and the unity of member colleges, student-athletes, administrators, alumni, and fans.
This year's comprehensive theme, Empower the Future: Building Legacies, will center around encouraging others to consider the two-year route through acknowledging legacies built by former and current NJCAA student-athletes as well as the future goals of the association and its members for years to come. The NJCAA gives student-athletes the tools necessary for success both on the field and in the classroom while also instilling confidence in them to chase their dreams and reach their goals. The opportunities presented at the two-year level are endless, and shining a light on those who have firsthand experience will empower others to consider building their legacy at a two-year institution.
Student-athletes are encouraged by their community, member college, and the association to reach their full potential. With this year's NJCAA theme of Empower the Future: Building Legacies, the NJCAA strives to recognize the opportunities provided at the two-year level and the endless possibilities that NJCAA student-athletes are afforded at this level. Whether athletically or academically, the NJCAA provides student athletes with a chance to chase their dreams, accomplish their goals, and better their futures.
The NJCAA encourages all to take to social media on #NJCAADay to experience the day-long celebration of the association and its members. A number of templates and resources for specific social media platforms to utilize throughout NJCAA Day can be found in the NJCAA Day Marketing Toolkit.
"NJCAA Day is an opportunity to shed a light on the many lives impacted by the association and highlight the amazing legacies of current and former NJCAA student-athletes," stated Dr. Christopher J. Parker, NJCAA President & CEO. "With this year's theme, we look forward to celebrating all who built their legacies after having chosen the junior college route and look forward to sharing our game plan for continuing to build legacies for generations to come."
Last year's theme, Empower the Future, focused around encouraging others to consider the two-year route through acknowledging the success and accomplishments of former and current NJCAA student-athletes.
