NJCAA Welcomes Six New Members
Charlotte, NC – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced today six new member colleges joining the association, beginning in the 2025-26 academic year. The new member colleges are: Drake State Community & Technical College (AL), Forsyth Technical Community College (NC), Northeast Iowa Community College, Robeson Community College (NC), Tidewater Community College (VA), and Berkshire Community College (MA).
Region 10 gains three new members in 2025-26, all of which will become postseason eligible in 2026-27. Forsyth Tech will sponsor women's volleyball and men's basketball at the Division II level. Robeson will take the field in Division II baseball this spring. Becoming the largest community college in Virginia to offer competitive athletics, Tidewater will compete in Division III men's and women's basketball.
Northeast Iowa joins Region 11, sponsoring Division II baseball and softball. The Cougars will be eligible for postseason play in 2026-27.
Joining Region 21, Berkshire will compete in women's volleyball and baseball at the Division III level. The Falcons will be postseason eligible in 2026-27.
Drake State, located in Region 22, is officially an NJCAA member this year and will begin competing in 2026-27.
After receiving member status last year, Eastern New Mexico – Ruidoso will begin competing in men's and women's cross country and men's and women's golf, all at the Division I level.
