DIII MEN’S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP (Sport Specific Host Requirements)

This document serves as a supplement to the NJCAA CHAMPIONSHIP HOST REQUIREMENTS & MANUAL and provides the minimum bid specifications to hosting this event.

Bid Deadline

• Deadline to submit a bid is October 1, 2018.

Suggested Host Rights Fees

• The suggested (not required) financial guarantee to the NJCAA for hosting this event is $1,000/per year.

Participant Data

• The NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship features eight teams and over 150 participants (coaches and student-athletes) from NJCAA member colleges.
• The average length of stay for teams at the 2017 event was 5 nights.
• The 2017 event resulted in 445 local hotel room nights generated by participating teams (parents, fans not included)
• The 2017 event resulted in $82,769.09 spent in the local community by participating teams (parents, fans not included)
