Mick McDaniel
1st Vice President For Men

McDaniel began his NJCAA Committee Work in 2002, serving Assistant Men's Director for Region 3 before moving to Men's Director in 2008.  He has served as both the Region III Golf Chairman and Region III Women's Basketball Chairman. He has served as the NJCAA Region III Championship Events Chairman (2003-09), Men's Division III National Soccer Chairman (2005-present) and Men's Division III National Golf Chairman (2008-present). After his heavy involvement in Region III Men's Athletics, McDaniel transitioned to the 2nd Vice President for Men and in 2011 was elected to serve as the 1st Vice-President for Men in the NJCAA.

Along with his new NJCAA duties, McDaniel is the current Director of Intercollegiate Athletics & Recreation as well as the Women's Varsity Soccer Coach at Tompkins Cortland Community College (N.Y.). McDaniel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education-Physical Education from the State University of New York at Cortland and has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Park & Recreation Management from SUNY Delhi.

He began coaching in the NJCAA in 1995 as the Men's and Women's Varsity Golf Coach at Tompkins Cortland Community College. During his coaching career in both Golf and Soccer, McDaniel has received several Coach of the Year awards in both his Region and Conference, for each sport that he has coached in, including a five year period of being the Mid-State Athletic Conference Golf Coach of the Year (2004-08).

McDaniel currently lives in Dryden, N.Y. with his wife Mary Beth and three sons Sean, Andrew and Brendan.
