Colorado Springs, CO – NJCAA DII volleyball will once again be held in Charleston, WV in 2019 before heading to Cedar Rapids, IA in 2020 and 2021 for the national championships. Charleston has hosted each of the last two tournaments and will host again in 2018.
The Charleston Civic Center will host the 2018 tournament and won the bid for the 2019 campaign as well. “The City of Charleston is excited to continue our relationship with the NJCAA. We feel our city offers a fun, memorable experience for student-athletes, staff, fans, and families. Having championship events in Charleston provides a significant economic impact and serves as a point of pride for our city and region.”
Cedar Rapids, home to Kirkwood Community College will host the 2020 and 2021 championships at the U.S. Cellular Center.
Kirkwood Athletic Director and tournament director Doug Wagemester expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the championship events. "Cedar Rapids is a great location with all the travel access and amenities needed to host a tournament of this magnitude," Wagemester said. "It is our hope that Cedar Rapids and the Corridor community will contribute to both the tournament attendance and the support required to run it."
Coffeyville captured the 2017 title at the Charleston Civic Center.
