Women's golf championship headed to Finney County

Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA has announced upcoming locations for the NJCAA Women's Golf Championships. Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, KS and Finney County Convention and Visitors Bureau in partnership with Garden City Community College will host the event in 2020. Daytona State (FL) was awarded the event in 2021 while Seminole State (FL) earned the 2022 event.

"It's an honor to partner again with NJCAA for another national event creating opportunities and economic investments in Finney County and the surrounding areas," stated Roxanne Morgan Executive Director for the Finney County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

"We are excited to continue to build together for future events," said Colin Lamb, Athletic Director for the Garden City Community College. "The CVB, Buffalo Dunes and GCCC have done a great job in collaborating in past events, and it's a wonderful opportunity for all parties involved."

"I'm thrilled to host another NJCAA National event in Finney county and eager to showcase all that our community has to offer," stated Melissa Sowers of the Finney County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

One of the top-rated courses in the state of Kansas, Buffalo Dunes was ranked as the No. 1 municipally owned golf course in the state by Golf Digest and has been recognized by Golf Magazine and Travel & Leisure Magazine.

The Daytona State Falcons have won each of the last three national championships, and 10 in the last 20 seasons. LPGA International in Daytona Beach will serve as the host 2021, the 13th time the site has hosted the even since 2003.
