Ancilla Golf Deals with Cold Temperatures
 April 16, 2013

ANGOLA, IN–Cold and damp conditions (35-40 degree temperatures) on the Zollner golf course made for some difficult play for the Ancilla College Golf team in Angola, Indiana last Friday.  Trine University hosted play and the Charger squads top four finished with a cumulative score of 326 while Trine’s top four boasted a score of 318.

Eric Davis (Fairland, IN) medaled for the Chargers leading all golfers with a score of 74.  Coach Hayden commented on the play, “Eric has the ability to be a medalist every time he competes. In regards to our 4-6 spots we must improve and the mental part of the game is our biggest stumbling block at this time.  We will work on that aspect of the game as the season progresses.”

The Chargers will host competition at Swan Lake in Plymouth, Indiana on Friday, April 19.

Ancilla College enrolls 500 students in 17 degree programs ranging from accounting to nursing. It was founded by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ in 1937, and is located 2 miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth.
