Lady Chargers Fall Short in Overtime
 January 28, 2013

CENTREVILLE, MI – The Lady Chargers basketball team lost a conference game in overtime 61-57 to Glen Oaks Community College.  The Lady Chargers are now 3-13 in regular season play and 0-7 MCCAA.

Coach Beason mentioned, “I was really pleased with our performance against Glen Oaks as I feel like we played hard the entire game.  The biggest thing that shot us in the foot was our free-throw percentage.  We were 9 of 19 on the night, which may be the worst free-throw percentage we have shot all year long.  One more free-throw made in the first 40 minutes of the game and we leave with a victory.  Hats off to Glen Oaks for doing what they needed to for that win.”

Top performances were turned in from Kaylia Richardson (Indianapolis, IN) with 34 points and 23 rebounds while Sydney Beaune (Saulte Sainte Marie, MI) contributed 13 points and 5 assists.
The Lady Chargers continue MCCAA play when they host Muskegon Community College on Wednesday, January 30th with tipoff at 5:30p.m
