Panthers Drop Championship Game 82-63

CORNING, N.Y. – The Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball team took second place at the Tarantelli Classic in Corning over the weekend. After winning the opener Friday over SUNY Delhi (51-46), the Panthers came up short against Cumberland County College (N.J.) in the final, 82-63. Saturday’s result leaves TC3 with a record of 2-6 overall while Cumberland is now 8-0.

In Saturday’s championship game, Audrey Kate Ordway (Dryden H.S./Dryden) had a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds. Becca Holton (Cape Fear Academy (N.C.)/Reykjavik, Iceland) had 14 points and four assists. Both players were named to the all-tournament team.

TC3 returns to Region III action Tuesday with a game at Hudson Valley Community College.
