TC3 Volleyball Overwhelmed at Home
 September 12, 2013

DRYDEN, N.Y. – The Tompkins Cortland Community College volleyball team’s home opener Wednesday turned out to be a disappointment as the Panthers lost in straight sets to a strong Corning Community College team Wednesday. Corning won by scores of 25-7, 25-1, and 25-8 to improve to 7-0 this season. TC3 drops to 0-2.

The visiting Red Barons started strong in each game, taking control early. TC3 trailed the entire night, with Corning jumping out to leads of 11-2, 11-1, and 11-2 in the three games, respectively.

Anna Belcher (Newfield H.S./Ithaca) had an ace and a kill for the Panthers. Rosa Oliveri (Liverpool H.S./Liverpool) had three digs.

The Panthers open Region III this weekend at the Onondaga Pod. The Panthers will play Onondaga Community College, Jefferson Community College, and Cayuga Community College.
