Sullivan No-Hitter Leads Ancilla to Split

BATTLE CREEK, MICHIGAN – Ancilla’s Marissa Sullivan pitched a no-hitter in game one of a double header, defeating Kellogg Community College 13-0 in game one. The Chargers were unable to complete the sweep, losing 9-5 in the nightcap.

Sullivan struck out seven in her five innings of work in game one while adding three hits of her own, along with three RBI. Rohni Beck and Shelby McConnell also added three hits each. Both Beck and McConnell also had a RBI. Kayleigh Schroeder and Courtney Henning contributed two hits and one RBI each.

Sullivan allowed just two earned runs in game two and struck out six. Emily Wilbur and Henning finished with three hits each in the loss.

Ancilla stays on the road today with a double header at Glen Oaks Community College.

Ancilla College enrolls 500 students in 17 degree programs ranging from accounting to nursing. It was founded by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ in 1937, and is located 2 miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth.
