The Gillette College (#21) Pronghorns earned their 18th win of the season by using a smothering defense to hold Casper College to just 39 points in a 63-39 victory in front of a home T-Bird crowd in Casper over the weekend. The back court of Kiela Garner, Christina Davis, and Freya Newton combined for 16 steals & 26 points in the contest while Chelsie Pitt led in scoring with 13 points & 9 rebounds to go along with Matty Jolovich's 11 points & 8 boards.  Alicia Carline's 7 blocked shots set a new school record for swats in a game and the Pronghorn defense limited Casper to just 20% shooting from the field in a pivotal Region IX match-up.  The Pronghorns are at Northwest College on Wednesday and then prepare to avenge an earlier loss to Sheridan College as the Lady Generals will travel to Gillette on Saturday for their second meeting of the season.
