PERKINSTON---Two more wins completed a successful run for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at day two of the Gulf Coast Classic.

The Bulldogs (7-1) defeated Holmes 74-67 to extend its winning streak to five in a row. Angel Matias poured in 27 points to lead Gulf Coast while Chris Bilbo had 17 and Darius Forest added 16.

The No. 23 ranked Lady Bulldogs (5-2) took down East Miss. 53-48 behind 22 points from Markia Nix and 15 from Samara Dingiswayo.

In other day two action, Baton Rouge beat Holmes 62-49 in women’s action while Pensacola St. took down Baton Rouge 61-44 in men’s play.

The Gulf Coast men return to the hardwood Monday, Nov. 26 at Spring Hill while the Lady Bulldogs host LSU-Eunice Nov. 27.
