Ancilla Women's Basketball Slides Against Bethel
November 9, 2012
DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla College women's basketball team lost to Bethel JV 47-78 which drops their season record to 0-3.
Taylor Pope (Richmond, IN) had another good night with 9 rebounds and 12 points followed by Hope Wagner (Knox, IN) who contributed 12 points on the night.
Coach Beason stated, “I think we had a few players that worked hard the entire game, but I also know we took a lot of time off; we cannot do that if we expect to beat good teams. In all fairness, with the new additions it is going to take everyone some time to get to know one another’s strengths and what they are capable of. I really think that once we settle in and do that we will be pretty successful.”
Kelly Duke (Vicksburg, MI) and Kaylia Richardson (Indianapolis, IN) both had a solid performance for their first collegiate basketball experience. Kelly had 6 rebounds and 4 assists while Kaylia finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds.
The Lady Chargers will hope to rebound when they travel to Morton College November 10th.
