Parkland hosts Kick for the Cure men's soccer tournament
 August 27, 2013

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – For the 3rd straight season, the Parkland College Men's Soccer program will host the Kick for the Cure Soccer Tournament. The event will take place at the turf fields at Urbana High School and will feature some of the top two-year college teams in the NJCAA. The field includes four Top 20 teams in action in the two-day event. Ranked teams include #7 Illinois Central, #8 Cincinnati State, #13 Jefferson, #18 Laramie County, as well as Lincoln College who received votes in the pre-season poll.

Kick for the Cure was created by PC Coach Mark Sikora to help in the contined battle to fight cancer. Our own athletic department staff currently has two members, Mickey Cler and Zach McNabney battling cancer so this event is held in part to honor their courage and drive as they take on this disease. All of us have been or will be affected in some way during our lifetime so here is your chance to give back.  To donate, all you have to do is go to the link below and follow the prompts. You can also send a check to the address listed below. We appreciate your support!
