Brookdale's Hall-of-Fame Softball Coach Bo Scannapieco Reaches Illustrious 900th
 April 21, 2013

Lincroft, NJ (April 19th, 2013) – Brookdale Community College softball head coach Bo Scannapieco has one more notch on his belt of softball accolades.  After the NJCAA top-ranked Jersey Blues swept Cumberland County College 16-1 and 15-0 this afternoon, Scannapieco earned his 900th career victory.

The 27-year veteran entered the 2013 season as the NJCAA career leader in victories among Division III softball coaches, and after this afternoon’s sweep, his career mark currently sits at 900-249-3 (.781 win percentage).  The Jackson native’s impressive resume also includes three National Championships (2002, 2005, 2010), 14 Garden State Athletic Association titles, 15 Region XIX championships and four national runner-up finishes.

Back in 2007, Scannapieco was inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame and was recently recognized by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for his 700th win – a feat that was conquered during the 2009 season.
