ICCAC and KJCCC Formalize Football Scheduling Agreement for 2014 and 2015
 April 12, 2013

From the offices of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference & Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) and the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) are pleased to announce that they have agreed, in principle, to a football scheduling agreement.  The initial agreement will be for the 2014 and 2015 seasons, but both entities envision the agreement evolving into a long-term alliance.

The ICCAC has three football members, which are: Ellsworth Community College, Iowa Central Community College and Iowa Western Community College.  The KJCCC has eight football members, which are: Butler Community College, Coffeyville Community College, Dodge City Community College, Fort Scott Community College, Garden City Community College, Highland Community College, Hutchinson Community College and Independence Community College.

“The ICCAC and the KJCCC are two of the strongest traditions in the NJCAA.  It is natural for us to work together to solidify our conferences and our member football program. This agreement gives us strength, stability and unprecedented exposure for our student-athletes,” ICCAC Commissioner Thom McDonald said in a statement.

“The affiliation between the KJCCC and the ICCAC will provide strength of schedule and stability for all member colleges,” said Bryce Roderick, KJCCC commissioner.  “The KJCCC member colleges are excited about the future of building a long-lasting alliance with the Iowa conference.”

All schools will play each other in a round robin format.  However, cross-conference games will not count towards each conference’s respective standings.  All details of the agreement will be finalized when the conferences formally meet in May.  A joint press conference will follow immediately after.  Until that time, neither the ICCAC nor KJCCC will have any further comment.
