COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Dre Mathieu (Central Arizona College), Jimmie Jenkins (Chesapeake College, Md.) and Shane Bosek (Minnesota State CTC) have been named NJCAA men’s basketball players of the week for games Jan. 7-13.

DIVISION I PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dre Mathieu – Central Arizona College
Guard – Knoxville, Tenn. – Central High School

The Vaqueros picked up two key victories last week with Mathieu leading the charge. Mathieu posted a double-double in a 75-60 win over Eastern Arizona College, recording game-highs in points with 21 and assists with 11. Against No. 22 Cochise College (Ariz.), the sophomore scored a game-high 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting and tallied nine rebounds, six assists and three steals in an 85-76 victory.

DIVISION II PLAYER OF THE WEEK  
Jimmie Jenkins – Chesapeake College, Md.
Guard – Washington, D.C. – Hyde Leadership Charter School

Despite dropping two of three games last week, the Skipjacks saw Jenkins take his game to another level. In a 105-104 shootout loss to Harford CC (Md.), the sophomore registered a double-double with a game-high 44 points and 10 assists. In another high-scoring affair, the sophomore put up 32 points, seven rebounds and nine assists in a 105-98 loss to Baltimore City CC (Md.). Recording his second double-double of the week, Jenkins totaled 29 points and 10 assists in a 106-94 win over Cecil College (Md.).

DIVISION III PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bacarius Dinkins – Mesabi Range CTC, Minn.
Forward – Gainesville, Fla. – Newbury High School

Dinkins earned Division III player of the week honors for the second time this season after leading the Norse to victory in back-to-back days. Recording a double-double in a 76-66 win over Fond du Lac TCC (Minn.), Dinkins scored a game-high 26 points and led all players with 17 rebounds. The freshman logged another double-double against Northland CTC (Minn.) with a game-high 29 points and 12 rebounds in a 66-54 win.
