Gloucester Takes DIII Women's Cross Country National Title

Rejeena Whittington led the Road Runner contingent with a third place finish. She led the pack through the 5k course with a time of 20:54. Nieemah Powers was sixth (21:01), Catherine Dougherty came in seventh (21:08), Aimee Abott finished 23rd (22:22) and Lyndsey Fraser was the fifth Road Runner to cross the finish line, coming in 27th (22:1). Samantha Farina (bottom right picture) of Ocean County College (N.J.) won the individual national title, crossing the finish line first with a time of 20:37. Farina is the second Ocean runner in NJCAA history to win the DIII women’s crown (Jen Nelson – 2009).
