BUILD YOUR CAREER IN COLLEGE ATHLETICS
The NJCAA Graduate Assistant Program offers hands-on experience to recent graduates and young professionals interested in pursuing an MBA while preparing for a career in college sports administration. Graduate Assistants work directly with the nation’s second-largest intercollegiate athletic association, gaining valuable experience in the management of two-year college athletics at a national level.
Through the program, participants earn graduate credit and receive mentorship from industry professionals while contributing to the success of the NJCAA and its member institutions. All positions are available at the NJCAA National Office in Charlotte, North Carolina.
GRADUATE PARTNERSHIPS
The NJCAA is proud to partner with two outstanding institutions to offer graduate study opportunities alongside professional experience:
• North Carolina Wesleyan University (2 GA Positions)
• Pfeiffer University (2 GA Positions)
Selected Graduate Assistants will be enrolled in an ONLINE graduate program at one of these partner universities while working 30 hours a week at the NJCAA National Office in Charlotte, NC.

"Building the future of the NJCAA today"
The NJCAA hopes to attract ambitious upper-class undergraduates and graduate students that are interested in a career in the NJCAA or intercollegiate athletics. Prospective interns will have the opportunity to apply in different categories in which they seek a future career. These may vary by semester, depending on staffing needs, but may include:
- NJCAA Administration
- NJCAA Marketing & Communications
- NJCAA Compliance
- NJCAA National Championships
- NJCAA Special Events
- NJCAA Research
- NJCAA Media
- NJCAA Development
Fast Facts: Interns will work directly with employees of the NJCAA National Office. The office is located in Charlotte, NC. Other information regarding the internship program:
- Internships will be semester-long. Some year-long opportunities may exist, but those are on a case-by-case basis.
- Interns may receive academic credit for their position with the NJCAA.
- Internships are unpaid, non-benefit positions.
