NJCAA announces Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA is pleased to announce the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the association's new headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

Previously located in Colorado Springs, CO, the NJCAA national office relocated to the Queen City in the summer of 2018. The renovation process along with the development phase of the office have taken shape over the fall and winter months. Featuring office space, a common area, a fully equipped board room, and premier branding from NJCAA partners Source One Digital and DreamSeat, the headquarters has reached its completion phase.

The NJCAA will celebrate the ceremony along with its 37-member Board of Regents who will be in Charlotte for the association's Winter Meetings.

Ian Thomas of the Carolina Panthers, a former member of the Nassau (NY) football team will be present at the ceremony along with Ryan Anderson, Assistant Director of Communications. Thomas, who played at Nassau from 2014-15, earned all-conference honors and led the Lions to an undefeated season as a freshman. Thomas furthered his collegiate career at Indiana before the Panthers selected the Baltimore, MD native in the fourth round of the 2018 draft.

"This is a moment our organization has looked forward to for quite some time," stated NJCAA President & CEO Dr. Christopher Parker regarding the ceremony. "From the announcement of our relocation last year to this point in time, this has been an exciting process and we are pleased to showcase the final product of our national headquarters alongside our Board of Regents."

Throughout the relocation process, the NJCAA partnered with a multitude of individuals and organizations throughout the Charlotte area, including Mayor Vi Lyles, Mecklenburg County, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, University City Partners, Charlotte Regional Partnership, Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, Charlotte Center City Partners, Bob Morgan and the Charlotte Sports Foundation, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Carolina Panthers.
