Men's Soccer Defeats Globe, Andre with 2 Goals
September 16, 2009

Brooklyn, NY----Last night at Aviator Sports Complex, the Avengers took on the Knights of Globe Tech.  ASA jumped out on top early with Roland Andre's (Brooklyn, NY/Classique de Lalve) first goal of the evening only four minutes into the match.  He was assisted by Marco McGaw (Brooklyn, NY/Canarsie) on his first goal.  Globe would not lay down, using its team speed to tie the game with 4 minutes left in the first half.  However, the Avengers would regroup and control the tempo most of the second half.  In the 78th minute of the match, Andre would score his second and winning goal of the night on a beautiful feed from sophomore midfielder, Millon Prescott (Brooklyn, NY/Barouallie).  The goal would give ASA the lead for good and the win 2-1.

Men's Soccer advances to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 against Region XV opponents.  The Avengers take the field again this Saturday, September 19th, against Briarcliffe at 12:30pm at Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn, NY.
