Sarah Hoormann joined the NJCAA in 2012 as a Compliance Assistant before being named Compliance Coordinator in the fall of 2017. Part of Hoormann’s responsibilities include answering general eligibility and compliance questions, along with enforcing hardships and processing audits.
Hoormann is a former NJCAA athlete, as she played basketball for two seasons at Neosho County Community College (KS) 2000-02.
Prior to joining the NJCAA, Hoormann was an administrative assistant to the Nursing and Medical Director at Comanche County Community Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. While there, Hoormann reviewed radiology and laboratory reports to ensure patients received proper treatment.
To get her feet in the sports industry, Hoormann interned with the Big South Conference (NCAA Division I) and the South Atlantic Conference (NCAA Division II) and made the most out of her opportunities. Whether it be interviewing players, writing articles, inputting National Letter of Intents into the national database or designing material for events – Hoormann embraced the opportunities to become well diverse in collegiate athletics.
When not in the office, Hoormann enjoys staying active by working out, playing volleyball, hiking and lacing her sneakers up for the occasional pickup basketball game.
