Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Ricky Webster is an emerging leader in media relations for two-year college athletics. Following his time as a student-athlete at Onondaga Community College (NY), he moved on to Fredonia State (NY) where he served as an intern for the program's sports information department while earning bachelor degrees in sport management and communications. His first full-time job in college athletics came at Brockport (NY) where he worked for two years as an assistant SID. He then moved to Marshalltown Community College (IA) where he became the first-ever SID for the Tigers and started the department's media relations efforts from scratch. In May of 2017 he was selected by the national office as the new NJCAA Associate Director of Media Relations.
Throughout the progression of his young career, his wife Cait - a high school English teacher - has been by his side for the last eight years. The two were married this past June in Buffalo, NY. From New York to Iowa to Colorado, the two have enjoyed their western migration and venturing to new parts of the country.
