Lorna Brizzie joined the NJCAA in 1999 and has truly enjoyed working for an association that does so much for student-athletes at its member colleges. Being with the association for 20 years, the Dubuque, Iowa native has had to adapt and learn new processes, such as the membership application moving from hard copy to electronically online.
As the Administrative Assistant of Internal Operations, Brizzie is one of the first point of contacts for membership services, as she collects membership dues and verifying them in the database. Other duties include, office supply inventory, ordering supplies and maintenance of office equipment, and contributing to the NJCAA Handbook and NJCAA Buying Guide each year.
In 1982 Brizzie moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado and immediately fell in love with the mountains. She has two sons – Tony and Sean, and a granddaughter, Julia 19.
In her spare time, Brizzie enjoys photography, scrapbooking, cooking, watching football, traveling and spending time friends.
NJCAA Chief Executive Officer Chris Parker on Lorna Brizzie:
"Lorna has been dedicated to this organization for years and we all appreciate her work to keep our membership services going forward. She loves the association and values everyone’s efforts to be successful”
